So pleased to hear today that yet another Riggit Galloway is born here in Suffolk with fellow breeder Jimmy Doherty.

Jimmy Doherty runs Jimmys Farm, has a PhD in entomology from Coventry University's Zoology Department, is a well known TV personality alongside his life long friend Jamie Oliver but most importantly for me he is the President of the Rare Breed Survival Trust.

Jimmy set up the Caela Herd of Riggit Galloways as part of a Birthday gift for his wife Michaela with cows bought from Tim Oliver in Northumberland and a TwoMills bull "Reiver's Lucky Boy" (named after sire Sherberton Border Reiver and dam Foxworthy Lucky Stripe). The lucky naming was because the stripe meant they were retained for breeding !
Lucky Boy has made sure his Riggit lineage is put to good use across not only Riggit Galloway but other rare breed cows

There is much to see at Jimmys Farm and Wildlife Park https://jimmysfarm.com
